The Spannabis 2025 edition, held from March 14th to 16th at the Fira de Cornellà in Barcelona, has been a significant milestone for Iberpapel and our iconic brand Pay-Pay. This event, recognized as the most important hemp fair in Europe, gave us the opportunity to strengthen business relationships, showcase our innovations, and share our rich history with a global audience.
Prominent Presence in the Main Hall
Strategically located in the Main Hall, Stand 74, we shared space with our valuable collaborators and distributors, Algarix Partners S.L.. This partnership allowed us to offer attendees a comprehensive experience, highlighting the synergy between our companies and reaffirming our commitment to excellence in the industry.
Pay-Pay: Center of Attention and Admiration
Our brand Pay-Pay captured the attention and admiration of the attendees. With more than 250 years of history, Pay-Pay has established itself as the oldest rolling paper brand in the world. At Spannabis 2025, we reaffirmed our market position by showcasing our product lines, including the unbleached paper lines Origin and GoGreen, reflecting our commitment to responsible consumers.
Innovations Presented
-
Prize Wheel and Merchandising: An interactive activity that attracted a multitude of participants, offering exclusive prizes and rewarding dozens of attendees, thereby strengthening our connection with the public and the community.
-
Giant Pay-Pay GoGreen Booklet: A 150 cm replica that became the center of countless photos. Attendees not only wanted to capture the moment but some even attempted to “roll” others in a fun and creative atmosphere.
-
Mini Slim Format for the Origin Mini Slim range: Within the Origin Range, we introduced the Mini-Slim format, known as the Brazilian Slim. Its peculiarity lies in being as long as a King Size Slim but as narrow as a European or SW (single wide) paper.
Strategic Meetings and Future Collaborations
Throughout the fair, we held numerous meetings with potential clients, suppliers, and influential figures in the sector. These interactions paved the way for future collaborations and joint projects, consolidating our presence in the international market.
Interview with 8th Day Create
One of the highlights was the interview conducted by the marketing team of 8th Day Create, led by its founder, Brandon Palma. This conversation, to be published soon, delved into the industrial heritage and the rich history that accompanies the Pay-Pay brand.
Farewell to Barcelona and Looking Ahead to Bilbao
Spannabis 2025 marked the end of an era in Barcelona. After more than two decades being held in the Catalan capital, the fair will move to Bilbao starting in 2026. This change is due to the planned demolition of the Fira de Cornellà and the search for a space capable of hosting an event of this magnitude. The Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC) has been chosen as the new venue, offering modern facilities and a strategic location to continue the legacy of Spannabis.
This move represents an opportunity to explore new dynamics and audiences in the Basque Country, a region with a growing cannabis community and suitable infrastructure for international events. At Iberpapel, we see this change as a chance to continue innovating and reaching new markets, always maintaining our essence and commitment to quality.
Thanks and Final Thoughts
We want to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who visited our stand and shared moments with us during Spannabis 2025. Your support and enthusiasm inspire us to keep innovating and offering the highest quality products in the rolling paper market.
We bid farewell to Barcelona with nostalgia, but with excitement for what the future holds in Bilbao. See you next year, Spannabis!
